There has been a major accident in VenkuR, Canada. The high speed car crushed the crowd. Many people are reported to have been killed in the accident. A fierce accident occurred during the heritage festival of the Filipino community in Vancouver city of Canada. A high speed car entered the crowd, causing many people to die and many others have also been injured. Police have taken the car driver into custody after the accident. Soon after the occasion, many videos of the incident went viral on social media. In which people were surprised to see the horrific view there. It is being told that 11 people have died in this accident so far. Many others were injured. Steve Rai, an interim chief of Vancouver Police, told a press conference, the police have arrested him (suspect) several times over mental health problems.

According to the Vancouver police, the motor driver inserted the car into the crowd at the East 41st Avenue and Fraser Street shortly after 8 pm. Local media said the incident occurred during the Lapu Lapu de Street Festival. Police said a 30 -year -old man resident of suspected Vancouver was arrested on the spot. Pictures of the scene feature a black SUV (sports utility vehicle) of which the front is broken. The suspect was taken into custody by the people present there before the police arrived.

Prime Minister Carney said that officials believe that there is no active threat to the people of Canada. He said that last night families lost a sister, a brother, a mother, a father, a son and a daughter. Carney said, I want to express my deep condolences to the dead and many injured and all the people of Vancouver. Vancouver Mayor Kenneth Sim said in a social media post that I am shocked and extremely saddened by the horrific incident at Lapu Lapu Day celebrations today. In this extremely difficult time, our sensations are with all the people affected and the Filipino community of Vancouver. According to the national census agency ‘Statistics Canada’, more than 38,600 people of Filipino origin were living in Vancouver in 2021, which is 5.9 percent of the total population of the city.
