The political battlefield of Bihar has become even more hot after Jan Suraj Party founder Prashant Kishore gave a sharp reply to JD (U) MLC Sanjay Singh’s recent allegations. Sanjay accused Kishore of seeking the post of Deputy Chief Minister while staying in JD (U). In response, Kishore jokingly said that we were staying in CM House – where no person like him had to go inside. How can we take such statements seriously?

Prashant Kishore said that when we met Nitish Kumar, was people like Sanjay Singh allowed to go there? Was he present when I demanded? On June 8, 2025, JD (U) MLC Sanjay Singh accused Kishore that he was expecting a high position by joining JD (U). According to Singh, Kishore was made the National Vice President of JD (U). He later demanded the post of Deputy CM after the 2020 political reshuffle. Kishore was angry at Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and he formed his Jan Suraj Party.
There has been a long -standing partnership between Kishore and Nitish Kumar. Kishore was playing an important role in the formation of the Grand Alliance in 2015 and became the National Vice President of JD (U) in 2018. However, in 2020, JD (U) supported CAA and alleged corruption led to a major change in the party. He officially launched the Jan Suraj Party in October 2024 and introduced it as an alternative to JD (U) before the upcoming elections in Bihar.

Kishore accused the current JD (U) government of being immersed in corruption and decrease in developmental initiatives. He cited Kalyan Bigha, where the district administration allegedly stopped him from entering, which is proof of the government’s encroachment and disagreement. Public reactions are divided. Kishore’s supporters appreciate his position as a young leader who promotes his bold return and accountability. Some supporters from JD (U) claim that the teenagers are politically indifferent and are exaggerating previous privileges.
