West Bengal Train Derailment: A train accident occurred in Nalpur today (November 9), where around three coaches of 22850 Secunderabad-Shalimar Superfast Weekly Express derailed and derailed. The train derailed at around 5:31 am while passing through Nalpur station of Kharagpur division. Railway officials reached the spot and passengers are being evacuated from the derailed coaches.
CPRO of South Eastern Railway said, “A total of 3 coaches including a parcel van of Secunderabad Shalimar SF Express derailed near Nalpur station of South Eastern Railway division. No casualties have been reported so far.”
Accident relief trains and medical relief trains from Santragachi and Kharagpur have reached the derailment site. Buses have been arranged to take the stranded passengers to their destination. The restoration process is ongoing.
According to the Railways, there has been no major damage so far and no casualties, with only one or two passengers suffering minor injuries. According to reports, a parcel van and two passenger coaches were among the three derailed coaches that derailed on Saturday.
