Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP from Sangrur in Punjab, Gurmeet Singh Meet Hair, raising the issue of state players in the Lok Sabha, demanded the government to make ‘Astro Turf’ in Jalandhar district so that the country could again get good medalist players from this region.

Shared Service Center (CSC)

A Common Service Center has been set up by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology to oversee the implementation of the CSC scheme under the Companies Act, 1956. The Common Service Center (CSC) scheme provides a centralized collaborative framework to provide services to citizens through CSC, as well as ensure systemic viability and stability of the scheme. If we try to explain to you in easy language, then the Common Service Center is the establishment of places by the Government of India where computer is available freely for the use of citizens. It is used more in rural areas.
These centers provide access to digital government resources and commercial services to citizens in rural areas. A citizen can avail government schemes using these centers. Documentation is also done at these common service centers for various schemes related to the government. This is a major initiative for less educated and rural citizens. However, its number is still very low. If the number of common service centers is increased, it can prove to be a boon for rural areas.
