International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) head Rafael Gersi gave updated information on the status of Iran’s nuclear sites after the US attacks and said that there is a possibility of ‘very heavy damage’ at the Fordo site. Speaking at an emergency meeting of the Board of Governors of IAEA, Gersi said that pits are now visible on the Fordo site, indicating the use of land penetrating weapons.

Undergraduate damage on Fordo site is yet to be assessed
Although no one, including IAEA, is not in a position to fully assess underground damage in Fordo, he said that it is expected to be very important. He said that such is due to the use of explosive payload and the highly vibration-sensitive nature of the centrifuge.

Attack on Iran’s underground promotion place again
Meanwhile, on Monday, the underground promotion site at Fordo, Iran was again attacked, while Iran shouted missiles and drones on Israel and warned the US that its army has now got a open outstanding to attack American bases in view of the massive attacks by the Trump administration at the Iranian nuclear sites. Iran’s official television reported that the site at Fordo was affected in a Sunday attack and was again attacked on Monday. However, no immediate information was given about the loss nor was it stated who did the attack, although Israel earlier said that it was carrying out airstrikes on Iran. The head of the United Nations Nuclear Monitoring Society in Vienna said that he hoped that the Fordo facility will be huge damage after the air strike by the US on the state-of-the-art bunker-bombs on Sunday.
