Actor-turned-politician Mithun Chakraborty found himself in a sticky situation after his wallet was stolen from his pocket during his mega road show in Jharkhand on Tuesday. The actor campaigned for the BJP in Jharkhand’s Dhanbad and was pickpocketed, leaving the organizers embarrassed. A video of the rally has now gone viral in which the organizers and other BJP workers can be heard repeatedly requesting the pickpockets to return the veteran star’s wallet.
A BJP member was seen urging the crowd, “Whoever stole the wallet, please return it to Mithun da.” Despite repeated requests the purse was not returned. Chakraborty led a massive road show in Jharkhand’s Nirsa assembly constituency to extend his support to BJP candidate Aparna Sen Gupta. Thousands of people gathered at the venue to catch a glimpse of the star and this led to massive chaos and mismanagement at the spot.
Despite the presence of security forces, the crowd went out of control and rushed towards the stage to take photographs and videos of the actor and see him closely. During this chaos, Chakraborty’s wallet was stolen. He said that Mithun Chakraborty said that change is necessary and with change Jharkhand will progress further… I am an actor, I do not want to become a politician. Meanwhile, Mithun Chakraborty was provided Y-Plus security on Tuesday. The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) has increased the security of the actor-turned-politician after he received threats on social media.
