Why did Sakshi Malik raise her voice against Brij Bhushan Singh after a long time? He himself told the reason in the interview

Indian Olympic medalist Sakshi Malik had surprised everyone some time ago by saying that BJP leader Brij Bhushan Singh had tried to sexually exploit her. Sakshi spoke about the 2012 incident in her book The Witness. After this, questions are being raised as to why the Olympic medalist wrestler has remained silent for so many years. Sakshi explained the reason behind this in the interview.
Sakshi told in an interview given to Hotterfly channel that if she had said something then, she would not have been an Olympic medalist today. He said that, that incident happened with me in 2012. It took me a long time to raise my voice. He is a very powerful man. Even now you must be seeing how much we fought, slept on the road for 40 days, only then an FIR was filed against him. If I had raised my voice at that time, I would not be sitting here today as an Olympic medalist. If I had raised my voice then, my voice would have been suppressed and it would have ended my career.
Sakshi told that the time from 2012 to 2023 passed by somehow. I might not have even raised my voice but I saw that these things are still going on. My junior girls used to tell me that sister, this happened and that happened in this tournament. So we felt that if we don’t raise our voice then who will?
She said that, wherever I go, I definitely talk about this, don’t keep quiet. I also remained silent for 11 years. My circumstances were different, I was looking at a career. The matter will be resolved only by speaking. Nothing will happen by remaining silent. Sakshi said that it is important that children are told from the beginning how to behave.
