Chinese President Xi Chinfing and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin strongly condemned the Israali attacks on Iran on Thursday and appealed to announce immediate ceasefire and stop the attacks on citizens.

During the phone conversation, Xi discussed the Israeli-Iran war with Putin and said that the ceasefire is an immediate priority to prevent conflict in West Asia and the use of force is not the right way to solve international disputes.

This is Xi’s first comment on the current struggle in the region amid US President Donald Trump’s warning to Iran and threatening Israel’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

The Russian President’s Office and the official residence ‘Kremlin’ said that President Putin and his Chinese counterpart Xi Chinfing have agreed to provide sensitive information on the Iran-Israel war to each other.

Kremlin’s foreign policy advisor Yuri Ushakov said, “President Putin and Xi Chinfing agreed to issue orders to their respective agencies to share information about Iran during an hour-long conversation.”

Last week, Israel started ‘Operation Rising Lion’, targeting Iran’s nuclear, missile and military infrastructure. Later, Iran also retaliated on Israel.

On Wednesday, Russia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) appealed to expedite political and diplomatic efforts to immediately end the Israeli-Iran war and resolve Tehran’s nuclear issue. According to Kremlin, President Putin discussed the issue during a telephone conversation with his UAE counterpart Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
