Youth beaten to death in a moving train, five accused arrested

A case of alleged beating of a person in a moving train in Baghpat district of Uttar Pradesh has come to light. This information was provided by the police Railway Police Deputy Superintendent of Police Shweta Ashutosh said on Saturday that the Railway Police has arrested five accused in the case.

Railway Police Deputy Superintendent of Police Shweta Ashutosh said that the incident took place between Railway Halt Fakharpur and Khekra railway station in Delhi-Shamli Passenger Train (No. 74023) on 20 June, when some youths allegedly beaten up with a person named Deepak. He said that the seriously injured Deepak was taken to the Community Health Center Khekra, where doctors declared him dead.

He said that the deceased has been identified as Deepak, son Rishi (age about 38 years), resident Patti Ahiran, Thana Khekra, District Baghpat. He said that a case has been registered at the police station GRP Baraut on the Tahrir of the family.

The Deputy Superintendent of Police said that five accused were arrested in this case within 18 hours. He said that the arrested accused have been identified as Sanjeev alias Ponu, Rahul alias Baba, Vishal, Priyanshu and Siddharth alias Alice and are all residents of Khekra police station area. He informed that the matter is being investigated and other necessary legal action is being taken.

At the same time, the acquaintances of the deceased told that Deepak was the only son of his parents. Deepak is survived by his wife, a 12 -year -old daughter and two and a half year old son. He said that Deepak used to work in an electronics shop in Bhagirath Palace in Delhi and came to his house every weekend.

Three videos related to the incident have appeared on social media, in which scenes of the train compartment and the attackers jumping from the train can be clearly seen.
