Terming the Awami League as fascist, Bangladesh’s interim government said it would not allow ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s party to hold Sunday’s planned rally. Shafiqul Alam, press secretary to Chief Advisor Muhammad Yunus, said in a Facebook post that the interim government will not tolerate any violence or any attempt to break law and order in the country. He said that Awami League in its present form is a fascist party. There is no way that this fascist party will be allowed to hold protests in Bangladesh.
