Ukraine President Volodimir Jailonsky said on Friday that his country wants a security guarantee before any negotiations to end the Ukraine-Russia war. Jailonsky made this comment during a meeting with US Vice President JD Vance on Friday. The two met at the Munich Security Conference.
Earlier, Jailonsky said that he would agree to meet Russia’s President Vladimir Putin only when a shared plan with US President Donald Trump would be negotiated.
Jailonsky said at the Munich Suraksha Sammelan that he believes that Trump could have an important role in ending the Russia-Ukraine conflict. Various observers, especially European observers, hope that Vance will throw some light on the ideas of the US President to resolve Ukraine war through negotiations after a phone conversation between Trump and Putin this week.
