At least 85 people have been killed in an overnight Israel attacks in the Gaza Strip. Palestinian health officials gave this information on Tuesday. Despite the increasing international condemnation, Israel has intensified the war against Hamas.
Israeli’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Oran Marmorsstein said that on Tuesday afternoon, dozens of trucks with support supply through Kerm Shalom Crossing started entering Gaza.
These trucks included flour, food for community kitchens, food items for children and medical materials. However, the United Nations (Sara) says that no assistance has reached the Palestinians even two days after the new supply of relief materials in Gaza.
Gaza has been facing Israeli blockade for about three months. After international pressure, Israel agreed to allow “minimum” assistance in the Palestinian region this week. He stopped the entry of food, medicine and fuel in an attempt to pressurize the Hamas terrorist group.
United Nations spokesman Stephen Dujarik said that although relief materials have reached Gaza, support workers have not been able to reach the distribution centers as the Israeli army forced them to load this supply into separate trucks.
Mermorsstein said that Israel will allow dozens of trucks to go into Gaza, although this number is much less than 600 trucks entering daily during the previous ceasefire.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that he allowed limited assistance under pressure from allies. In recent times, Israel has made another major attack in the region.
He says that the purpose of these attacks is to pressurize and destroy the group to bring back many people hostage by Hamas. Amidst the intensity of new attacks, Israel agreed to allow a limited amount of assistance after a two -and -a -half -month blockade in the area destroyed by the war.
Due to the blockade, the access of food, medicine and fuel as well as other items in the area was interrupted. On Monday, the criticism of Israel’s conduct intensified when allies Canada, France and Britain threatened “concrete action” against the country including sanctions and called for Israel to stop their new military actions in Gaza.
Netanyahu dismissed the criticism, saying that this is the “biggest answer” of Hamas’s October 7, 2023 attack. So far only a few trucks have been sent to Gaza, about which United Nations agencies say it is not enough to meet the heavy need.
Earlier this year, about 600 trucks entered Gaza during the ceasefire. According to Gaza’s Health Ministry, two attacks in North Gaza targeted a family house and a school working as a shelter, killing at least 22 people. Those killed were more than half of women and children.
According to Al-Aksa Shaheed Hospital, 13 people were killed and 15 people were killed in another attack in a nearby Nuceratic refugee camp in an attack in the central city Dir Al-Balah. According to Naser Hospital, 10 people were killed in two attacks in the southern city of Khan Younis. Israel’s army has not commented immediately about this.
The Israeli army says that it only targets terrorists and blames Hamas for the death of citizens as this group works in densely populated areas.
