Jal Board, PWD and MCD have completely failed to deal with the waterlogging crisis of Delhiites: Virendraa Sachdeva

New Delhi. Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva has said that every year before monsoon, the cleaning of drains is done, whether it is 18 big drains like Najafgarh drain, East Delhi drain, Barapullah drain, Delhi Gate drain etc., as well as other small drains whose total number is around 700, but it is surprising to see that this year most of the drains have not been cleaned.

Sachdeva has said that this monsoon, Delhi has faced the worst waterlogging crisis ever. Earlier, waterlogging used to occur at the beginning of the monsoon and after one or two rains, it used to be limited, in which water would accumulate and then get cleared within a few hours. But today the water remained accumulated for 10 to 12 hours.

Today, Delhiites witnessed the worst waterlogging ever in Kiradi, Paharganj, Kalkaji, Munirka, Mehrauli Badar Road, Kotla Mubarakpur, Sangam Vihar, Deoli, Saket, Minto Bridge, ITO, Rajghat, Jahangirpuri, Laxmi Nagar, Geeta Colony, etc.

Sachdeva said that it would not be an exaggeration to say that the Arvind Kejriwal government has defeated its own liquor scam with the drain cleaning scam. Jal Board, PWD and MCD have completely failed the people of Delhi in solving the waterlogging crisis. The Delhi BJP President has requested the Anti Corruption Bureau to immediately take suo motu cognizance of the drain cleaning scam of the three departments Delhi Jal Board, PWD and MCD and start an investigation.
