Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday paid tribute to eminent scientist and former President Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam on his death anniversary. He said that Kalam will always be remembered for his achievements.
Yogi said in a post on the social media platform ‘X’, “Humble tribute to the great scientist, missile man, former President, ‘Bharat Ratna’ Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam on his death anniversary!” He said, “Kalam will always be remembered for the records set by India in the field of space and defense research.”
At the same time, Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya wrote on ‘X’, “Creative leadership is necessary for the success of any mission. Humble tribute to the famous scientist and former President ‘Bharat Ratna’ Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam ji, who gave a new direction to the young generation and was known as ‘Missile Man’, on his death anniversary.”
Maurya said, “Kalam’s principles, thoughts and inspiring work will always guide the coming young generations.” The state’s main opposition party Samajwadi Party (SP) posted, “Humble tributes on the death anniversary of former President of India, great scientist ‘Bharat Ratna’ Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam ji.”
Kalam was the President of India from 2002 to 2007 and was respected by every political party. Born on 15 October 1931 in Tamil Nadu, Kalam died on 27 July 2015 in Shillong.
