A 3-storey building collapsed in Lucknow’s Transport Nagar area on Saturday, killing 4 people. About 20 people have been rescued. According to officials, work was going on in the basement of the building when it collapsed. About 10 people were injured in the incident and have been admitted to the hospital. Local police officials, firefighters and officials of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and State Disaster Response Force are present at the spot.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh wrote about this incident that the news of the accident caused by the collapse of a building in Lucknow is extremely painful. I have spoken to the District Magistrate of Lucknow over the phone and got information about the situation at the spot. The local administration is carrying out relief and rescue operations on the spot and is engaged in helping the victims in every possible way.
