Today the government again sent an invitation to the protesting doctors, to which the doctors responded with some conditions. In their mail sent to the Chief Secretary, the junior doctors said that we would like to reiterate that two important developments took place since the last proposed meeting.

The West Bengal government accepted the conditions of the protesting junior doctors by submitting an RG for a meeting with CM Mamata Banerjee. After a consensus was reached, the junior doctors left the campus and reached Mamata’s residence for the meeting. The meeting is still underway. Earlier in the day, the junior doctors had sent an email stating their conditions for the meeting. In his response, West Bengal Chief Secretary Manoj Pant accepted the condition that at the end of the meeting, representatives from both sides will sign the minutes and copies will be shared with each side to ensure clarity and consensus on the discussions.

If this happens, this meeting will end the deadlock that has been going on for several days. Junior doctors were invited several times to meet CM Mamata, but not even once did the meeting take place.
