More than 3000 people including the Iranian ambassador posted in Lebanon were injured in this. Hezbollah said that 8 people died in these blasts, which included its fighters and a girl child.

Unconfirmed CCTV footage showed explosions in many shops. Hezbollah said that this is the biggest case of security breach. Israel is being accused of this.
Several reports quoting senior Lebanese security sources have claimed that Israel’s Mossad spy agency placed a small amount of explosives inside 5,000 Taiwan-made pagers ordered by Lebanese militant group Hezbollah five months ago. Speaking to news agency Reuters, a senior Lebanese security source alleged that the pagers exploded when a coded message was sent to them, activating the explosives.
