Uttar Pradesh is attracting tourists not only from the country but from all over the world: Yogi Adityanath

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath while congratulating the people of the state said that today the state is attracting tourists not only from the country but from all over the world. Speaking to reporters at his 5 Kalidas Marg residence on World Tourism Day, Chief Minister Yogi said that last year more than 46 crore tourists came to Uttar Pradesh and now Uttar Pradesh has become a hub of religious, spiritual, heritage and eco tourism. According to a statement issued here, the Chief Minister expressed hope that more than 40 crore devotees will come during the Mahakumbh-2025 to be held in Prayagraj from Makar Sankranti to February 26 next year.
The Chief Minister said that Uttar Pradesh, the heart of India’s spiritual and religious tradition, has today succeeded in attracting tourists not only from the country but from all over the world. He said that under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, last year more than 46 crore tourists in Uttar Pradesh have visited different religious, spiritual, eco-tourism or heritage tourism sites of the state.
Yogi said that these tourists not only come to Uttar Pradesh for tourism but they also play a big role in employment generation. Tourism activities serve to further the best coordination of heritage and development. He said, “From the point of view of spiritual tourism, we have Ramayana Circuit, Krishna Circuit, Buddhist Circuit, Jain Circuit etc. Today Baba Vishwanath Dham in Kashi is attracting crores of tourists. Ayodhya, Vrindavan, Gokul, Barsana have attracted tourists from all over the world.
He told that from the point of view of Buddhist tourism, Sarnath, Kushinagar, Shravasti, Kaushambi, Sankisa are attracting Buddhist devotees from all over the world. There are many possibilities in Uttar Pradesh from the point of view of Jain tourism. Yogi said that Ayodhya is the birthplace of Jain Tirthankaras, many Jain Tirthankaras had incarnated on the holy land of Kashi. The Pava city of Kushinagar remains revered for us even today as the holy land of Jain Tirthankaras. Prayagraj Kumbh, the world’s largest spiritual and cultural event, is attracting devotees from all over the world. Discussing various areas of tourism in detail, he said that the government is fully committed to the convenience and interest of tourists.
