He further said that he had informed the police that if anyone attempted to stop the Hindu community from celebrating Navratri, he would perform Maha Aarti in front of the mosque.

Rane stressed that he had no problem with patriotic Muslims, but expressed concern about those who disrupt Hindu festivals or processions by throwing stones or creating barriers. The statement has sparked significant controversy and debate, highlighting ongoing tensions over religious gatherings in the region. Earlier, an FIR was registered against Rane for hurting religious sentiments during a speech he delivered at a Hindu religious gathering in Achalpur in Amravati district.

He allegedly made derogatory remarks against the minority community, leading to which an FIR was lodged. Earlier too, a similar case was registered against Rane in Ahmednagar for his controversial statement.
