The Khan-led Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party, in an overnight meeting, decided that the protest will continue until party founder Khan asks his supporters to end it.

According to ‘Dawn newspaper’, the political committee of Khan’s party has also decided that if Gandapur is arrested then senior party leader Azam Swati will lead the protest and if Swati is arrested then he will take command. A new leader will be chosen.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party founder Imran Khan had called for the protests. Khan has been lodged in Rawalpindi’s Adiala jail for more than a year. Khan’s party is protesting in solidarity with the judiciary and against price rise. The political committee also criticized the disappearance of Gandapur. Gandapur is the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of the country. The committee warned that if he was arrested there would be ‘serious consequences’.
