Apart from this, the last time a batsman scored a triple century in Test cricket was former Australian opener David Warner against Pakistan in November 2019.
Right-handed batsman Harry Brook scored the first triple century of his career. This is the second time a batsman has scored a triple century on this ground against Pakistan. Harry Brook has completed a triple century in 311 balls. With this, Harry Brook has become the sixth batsman to score a triple century in Test cricket for England. Before him, Leonard Houghton (364), Verry Hammond (336*), Graham Gooch (333), Andy Sandham (325) and John Edrich (310*) had done this feat.
Harry Brook has left behind many legends in terms of completing a century in the fewest number of balls in Test cricket. He is only behind Virender Sehwag. Sehwag scored a triple century against South Africa in 278 balls, while Harry Brook completed his triple century in 310 balls.
