Harris raised the issue of discrimination against black people during the election campaign.

Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris pushed for legislation to tackle discriminatory enforcement policies, warning on Tuesday that Republican nominee Donald Trump would try to “institutionalize” harsh policing tactics across the country. Black men will be disproportionately affected.

Speaking to radio show The Breakfast Club host Charlamagne, Harris said he would work to decriminalize marijuana, which leads to the most arrests of black people. He also admitted that black people face racial discrimination in everyday life.

With the US presidential election approaching, Harris worked to energize black men while Trump focused on women in a Fox News program in Georgia.

Just 21 days before the final votes are cast in this year’s presidential election, Harris and Trump are trying to energize voters in key constituencies where the race looks to be tight.

If Harris wins the election, she will become the first woman President of the country. She is trying to woo women while Trump is being soft on the issues of black men who have overwhelmingly supported the Democratic Party in the past.
