Indian cricket team’s experienced wicketkeeper batsman Wriddhiman Saha had announced his retirement on 3 November. Now Saha had said through social media that this would be his last Ranji season in which he is playing for Bengal. Now Saha told how he had changed his decision of retirement on the advice of former Team India captain Sourav Ganguly.
Let us tell you that Saha played first class cricket for Tripura for the last two years and after playing for Tripura last season, he was all set to retire. “I wouldn’t have played this year, but Sourav Ganguly and my wife inspired me to play for Bengal after two seasons with Tripura and finish with them,” Saha was quoted as saying by ESPNcricinfo.
Shah agreed to play, but made it clear that he would participate in domestic cricket only in the red ball format. Shah had taken this decision considering his physical limitations and with the intention of giving opportunities to young players. Shah had also informed Gujarat Titans that he will not play IPL to focus on Ranji Trophy.
