The Hindu population of Bangladesh celebrated Saraswati Puja on 3 February 2025 to worship the goddess of knowledge, knowledge and art. In Dhaka, Professor Muhammad Yunus, the Chief Advisor of the Interim Government, described Bangladesh as a residence of communal harmony, where people of all religions, castes and sects live together for thousands of years. Hindus performed Saraswati Puja on Monday in Wangladesh on Vasant Panchami with full enthusiasm. Yunus said on Sunday that Bangladesh is the abode of communal harmony. He said, ‘For thousands of years, people of all castes, colors and religions have been living together in this country. This country is wealthy. There is a safe place for people of every religion and caste. ‘ Yunus has given these wishes to the Hindu community at a time when the interim government of the country is facing allegations of failing to protect religious and ethnic minorities from attacks and harassment.

He ordered security heads to take special measures to protect the rights of every citizen and to prevent attacks on religious or ethnic minorities. After Sheikh Hasina’s resignation as Prime Minister, there has been an increase in incidents of violence against Hindus and other minorities in Bangladesh, as well as attacks on temples. The meeting was attended by Home Affairs Advisor Jahangir Alam Chaudhary, Khuda Bakhsh Chaudhary, Special Assistant to Chief Advisor, Home Secretary Nasimul Gani and Police Chief, Border Guard Bangladesh, Rapid Action Battalion, Dhaka Metropolitan Police, Coast Guard and Heads of Special Branch.
