The brain -produce freestyle chess competition of world number one Magnus Carlson and Germany businessman Jaan Henrik Butner may be a permanent tournament for professional chess players despite a confrontation with the world’s top chess organization FIDE.
The youngest world champion of now started in this format with a draw with Nodirbek Abdoustorov of Uzbekistan and lost to Alireja Firouja of France in the second game. In the third and fourth rounds, the Indian veteran played a draw with Lavon Aronian of America and Javokhir Sindarov of Uzbekistan. There are still five rounds left in the group phase and Gukesh needs to make it to the top eight of the ten participants to go to the next phase.
