Arikode police said that more than 50 people were injured due to fireworks during a match of Sevans, Football Tournament at a stadium in Arikode area in Mallapuram district. Two of the injured were admitted to the hospital. Other people’s injuries are not serious. The accident occurred while burning firecrackers just before the match. People scorched due to falling firecrackers among the audience sitting near the ground. The organizers have been booked under sections 288 and 125B of the Indian Justice Code.
