New Delhi. Two Olympic medalist Manu Bhakar will lead a 35 -member Indian team at the ISSF Shooting World Cup before the session to be held in South America in April. The international shooting session will begin with a two -phase World Cup in South America. The first tournament will be played in Buenos Aires in Argentina from April 1 to 11 and second in Lima, Peru, between April 13 to 22. Manu, who recently received the Dhyanchand Khelratna Award, won a personal and mixed team event medal in the 10m air pistol at the Paris Olympics.
She will participate in women’s air pistol and 25m pistol in the World Cup. They are accompanied by Paris Olympians Anish Bhanwala and Vijayveer Sidhu (25 meters of men’s rapid fire pistol), Aisha Singh (25m pistol of women)), Aishwarya Pratap Singh Tomar (50m Rifle Three Pose of men), Sifat Kaur Samra and Shreyaka Sadangi (Women’s 50m rifle three positions), Arjun Babut (men The ten meter air rifle), Prithviraj Tondimaman (Trap), Anant Jeet Singh Naruka (Skit) and Reeja Dhillon (Women’s Skeet) are also in the team.
The National Rifle Association of India has organized a practice camp for the team from 14 March here. NRAI said in a statement, “There will be three phases of the World Cup in each category while two junior World Cups will also be played. The second phase of the World Cup will be held in Delhi in September.
