Soren urged Reddy to save the trapped workers due to the tunnel collapsing, offered help

Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren urged Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy to ensure all the help to save the workers trapped in it due to collapse of the roof of the block under construction.

Eight people have been trapped inside due to collapse of the roof of the under -construction block of the Srisailam Tunnel Canal Project in Nagarakurranul district of Telangana, out of which four are residents of Jharkhand.

Soren wrote on the social media platform ‘X’ on Saturday night, “Some workers from other states including Jharkhand have been reported to be trapped in the ‘Srisailam Left Bank Canal Tunnel’ accident in Nagarakurnul district of Telangana.Honorable Chief Minister Revanth Reddy of Telangana is urged to give all possible help to remove the people trapped in the tunnel. I wish all the workers trapped in the accident from Marang Buru to be safe.

He said that the Government of Jharkhand is taking information about every moment by coordinating with the Telangana government and is ready to provide all necessary help. Officials said that according to preliminary information, four laborers of Jharkhand trapped in the tunnel are from Gumla district.

The official statement said that the State Labor Department is collecting information about their families. The state migrant control room is in touch with the Telangana government regarding these laborers.
