‘He did not see the beauty of Sanatan, propaganda about Mahakumbh’, CM Yogi’s attack on SP

In this powerful address in the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly on 24 February, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath enthusiastically defended the spectacular success of Mahakumbh 2025 in Prayagraj. Highlighting the unprecedented presence of more than 63 crore devotees, he outlined the grandeur of the program as a proof of India’s spiritual heritage and organizational skills. Yogi Adityanath reacted strongly to the attitude of the opposition in the Legislative Council, saying that when the whole world is witnessing the grandeur and divinity of the Mahakumbh of Prayagraj, the opposition is only busy criticizing. He said that this is not an ordinary event, but the festival of eternal tradition, faith and culture of India, which has brought the country’s reputation to new heights globally.

 

Taking a dig at the Samajwadi Party, Yogi said that he left no stone unturned to discredit Prayagraj. You were propagating about Prayagraj … As someone has rightly said, ‘Whose vision, his creation’ … He was looking for ways to defame Prayagraj. Some people were saying in Parliament that thousands of people died in Mahakumbh but 28,000 people were introduced to their families during Mahakumbh. Samajwadi Party and Congress only want to defame India. His fight may be against the BJP, but sometimes he becomes against India while fighting against the BJP.

CM Yogi said that the attitude of society towards great works goes through three stages – ridicule, protest and eventually acceptance. The same situation was seen during the construction of Ram temple and Mahakumbh event. First the opposition tightened up, then protested, but eventually they too became dedicated to the same faith. Giving examples, he said that the national president of the Samajwadi Party himself came to bathe in the confluence, and the Leader of Opposition first described himself as Sanatani, later Samajwadi. This is a proof of their acceptance.

Yogi Adityanath gave a strong answer to those who questioned the purity of Ganga water. He said that according to the report of scientist Dr. Ajay Sonkar’s lab and Uttar Pradesh and Central Pollution Control Board in Prayagraj, Ganga water is not only bathable, but also as pure as alkaline water. Scientific tests have proved that Ganga water has the natural ability to keep itself pure, which makes it different from other rivers. On January 17, the amount of chloroform in the Sangam area was found within the prescribed standards in the Sangam area.

Yogi Adityanath said that many corridors have been constructed in the state. In this, a corridor goes from Prayagraj to Kashi via mother Vindhyavasini Dham. The second corridor has been prepared in the area around Gorakhpur. Apart from this, it has been prepared in the area around Ayodhya. At the same time, Lucknow and Naimisharanya have been prepared in the area. Mathura has also been prepared in the vicinity of-Vrindavan, where millions of devotees from all over the country and the world are taking advantage of darshan. He is taking a good hold of Uttar Pradesh with him. This is the same Uttar Pradesh, where people used to hide their identity earlier.

 

During his address to the Legislative Council, CM Yogi said that the mindset of the Samajwadi Party is narrow. He said that the BJP government does not want to limit minority children only to traditional madrasas instead of making them mullahs and clerics, they also want to provide an opportunity to make doctors, engineers, scientists and litterateurs. Giving the example of former President APJ Abdul Kalam, he said that the development of society is possible only with the modernization of education. CM Yogi said that free education is being arranged in schools. They are being modernized. For this, the government of double engine is providing money, but the culture of puppet will not work. He reiterated that the government of double engine is committed to provide modern and quality education to all students without any discrimination.
