Washington. Five former defense ministers have recently urged the Congress to hear the Congress in connection with the dismissal of President Donald Trump’s president and several other senior military officers recently. This information was revealed from a letter available with the Associated Press. The five persons – who have represented Republican and Democratic Administration for the last three decades – said that these dismissals are worrisome, raising “harassing questions about the desire of the administration to politicize the army to politicize the army” and removed the legal limits on the power of the President.
At the end of last week, Trump removed Air Force General CQ Brown Junior from the post of Joint Chiefs. The Defense Minister Pete Hegseth then removed the Naval Operations Head Admiral Lisa Frenchy, the Deputy Chief General of the Air Force and the Judge Advocate General for the military services. Hegseth defended Brown’s dismissal, saying that other presidents also made changes in military workers and Trump had the right to choose his team.
A letter signed by William Perry, Leon Peneta, Chak Hagel, Jim Mattis and Lloyd Austin states that there is no real justification for dismissal, as many of these officers were also nominated by Trump in the past. It said that his career had been exemplary, including operations and war experiences. The letter states, “We, like many Americans – many soldiers also include – come to the conclusion that these officers are being removed for purely biased reasons.”
He said in the letter, “We are not asking Congress members to do any favor; We are asking them to do our work. ” He said that in the meantime, the senators should refuse to confirm any new enrollment of the Pentagon (US Defense Ministry), including retired Lieutenant General Dan Kane (nomination of), which Trump said that he should be the next joint chief president.
