Srinagar . Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has directed the Electricity Department to ensure that there is no power cut during the month of Ramadan and iftar. The Chief Minister presided over a high -level meeting to review the arrangements made for the month of Ramadan starting on Sunday. Abdullah emphasized that people expect their elected government not to face any inconvenience during this Pak month. He said that the government will take all necessary steps for this.
The Chief Minister said, “Since the holy month of Ramadan is starting from tomorrow, people are hopeful that the government will take all necessary steps so that they do not face any difficulty during this holy month.” Abdullah instructed, “People want and we should try to ensure that there is no power cut during Sahari and Iftar. Any necessary deduction should be planned well and can be deducted during the day according to the appropriate timetable. Wherever necessary, maintenance work should also be done during the day.
He instructed the authorities to immediately resolve system related problems or faulty transformers to avoid disruption. Regarding water supply, Abdullah said that the situation in the recent snowfall and rains has improved the situation, but he emphasized the need for adequate drinking water supply in homes. He said, “The rains in the last few days by the grace of Allah have been beneficial in this regard.” The Chief Minister directed the officials to pay attention to cleanliness, especially around mosques and cleanliness, traffic management and security system.
