Outside a private hospital in Ratlam, Madhya Pradesh, a patient standing in a semi -bound state with a ‘colostomy’ (for defecation) and a hose in the nose accused the doctors of demanding one lakh rupees for treatment.
The hospital management denied these allegations. On Monday, the video of this person who was standing outside the hospital and taking out his anger went viral on social media, after which the state health department ordered an inquiry.
Officials said Bunty Ninama, a resident of Moti Nagar, Ratlam, was admitted to a government hospital after being injured in a quarrel in Deendayal Nagar police station area on Sunday night. He was later admitted to GD Hospital.
Eyewitnesses said that he created a ruckus outside the hospital on Monday and then left in an autorickshaw with his wife. His wife told reporters that she was assured that her husband was in ‘coma’.
He said, “We had spent Rs 40,000 within 12 hours of hospitalization. Then I went out to arrange more money. When I returned, my husband was standing out in anger while doctors said that he is in a ‘coma’. “
After the incident, Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO) Dr. MS Sagar told reporters that he has formed a three -member team to investigate the matter.
