Delhi government issued guidelines for admission for special schools, knowing complete information

The Directorate of Education (DOE) has issued new admission guidelines for special schools run by the Delhi government, including entry level classes and classes 1 to 9 and 11. The guidelines issued in a letter issued on March 6 aims to excel the admission process for students including disabled students at various class levels.
According to the guidelines, students who pass the previous class from recognized school will be given admission directly from class 6 to 9. However, children outside the school wishing to get admission in class 6 will have to undergo a test to check their basic literacy and numerical skills. For students applying in classes 7 and 8, who have not studied in a recognized school, their parents will be sufficient for an undertaking admission.
The age limit of classes for admission level is as follows-
– Nursery: 3-7 years
– Kindergarten: 4-8 years
– Class 1: 5-9 years
– Class 2: 6-11 years
– Class 3: 7-12 years
– Class 4: 8-13 years
– Class 5: 9-14 years
Age limitations for middle-level classes are as follows
-Kaksha 6: 10-16 years
-Kaksha 7: 11-17 years
-Kaksha 8: 12-18 years
-Kaksha 9: 13-19 years
The age of students for class 11 should be between 15 and 21 years of age. Admission to class 11 is available for students who have passed the Class 10 examination. Those who complete class 10 through the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) must have at least 50% marks in five subjects to choose humanities without skill subjects, and 45% marks to choose arts with skills subjects.

All admissions will be conducted online through DOE’s official website- edudel.nic.in. This process will be subject to seat availability, and if the applications are more than the available seats, the lottery will be extracted.
