He said that apart from this, Ukrainian President Volodimir Jailonsky has described it as a positive step and said that it is dependent on America to persuade Moscow to accept it.
Brigadier Shri DS Tripathi ji (retired) said that senior officials of the US and Ukraine held talks in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on Tuesday. During the negotiations, the focus on ending the war between Russia and Ukraine over three years was focused on ending the 30 -day ceasefire. He said that soon after the announcement in Jeddah, Trump said that some time ago Ukraine had agreed to the ceasefire. Now we are going to contact Russia and hope that President Vladimir Putin will also agree on it. He said that Trump said that if we persuade Russia, it would be great. If we are unable to do this, then we will continue to try in this regard because people are being killed in war.

Brigadier Mr. DS Tripathi ji (retired) said that Trump also talked about the earliest meetings with Russia which was in the context of his special messenger Steve Witchoff, who is likely to go to Moscow to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin. He said that on the other hand Ukraine’s President Jelnesky has said that the American side understands his country’s arguments and considers his proposals. He said that he is grateful to President Trump for constructive talks between the team of both countries. He said that Jailonski said to Jeddah a few hours after the announcement that Ukraine is ready to accept the proposal. We see it as a positive step and are ready to do it. Now, to persuade Russia to do so is up to America. If Russia agrees, the ceasefire will immediately become effective.

He said that during today’s talks, the American side proposed to take another big first step- 30 days full interim ceasefire, which will stop not only in the Black Sea, but on the entire forward front, missiles, drones and bomb attacks. He said that the status of Ukraine is completely clear. Ukraine has been talking about peace since the beginning of this war and we want to do everything to achieve it in the earliest and reliable way so that the war does not return. He said that Jailonsky also spoke about the three major points that his team had proposed during a meeting with Americans in Jeddah. He said that these are the three major points- peace in the sky i.e. missile attacks, bombs and long distance drone attacks; Peace in the sea and the steps of real confidence in this whole situation, which continues to be diplomacy and mainly referred to the release of prisoners and prisoners (both military and citizens) and the return of Ukrainian children, which were forcibly shifted to Russia. He said that however, there has been no official response from Russia so far. Meanwhile, soon after the announcement from Jeddah, the Trump government has removed its suspension on sharing military aid and intelligence with Ukraine. He said that the step was taken in a clear attempt to force Jailonsky to negotiate a week ago to end the war.
