In Naxal -affected Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh, security forces have arrested five Naxalites, including a prize. The police gave this information on Wednesday. Police officials said that security forces have arrested five Naxalites -Narayan Bhandari (45), Dharma Kaka (21), Neela Kaka (25), Kista Dhruva (30) and Rambabu Punem (26) in the forest of Marudabaka village in Usur police station area of the district.
He said that Naxalite Narayan Marudabaka Dandakaranya is the president of the tribal farmer laborer organization and had a reward of one lakh rupees on his head. Police officials said that as part of the ongoing anti -Maoist campaign in the district, a joint team of Central Reserve Police Force and District Police Force was sent from Usur police station to Nalakankar, Marudabaka and Kamalapur villages on Monday.
He said that during this time, security forces laid siege and arrested five Naxalites from the forest of Marudabaka village. Officials said that Maoist leaflets, batteries and other items were recovered from the arrested Naxalites. He informed that a campaign against Naxalites is going on in the area.
