Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said on the occasion of Holi on Friday that such a rich tradition of festivals in Sanatan Dharma is not in any country and religion. He insisted that India moves forward through festivals. Addressing the traditional “Narasimha Shobhayatra” in Gorakhpur, he insisted that Holi gives a message to maintain the country through unity. He insisted, “The hypothesis of” Ek Bharat, Shrestha Bharat “will be completed.” He said that there is no tradition of rich festivals like Sanatan Dharma in any country, caste, religion of the world. We have faith in Sanatan Dharma and faith is the soul of festivals. India moves forward through festivals.

The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh said, “You have seen that those who opposed Sanatan Dharma have seen India’s ability (‘Samarth’ along with Sanatan Dharma through Mahakumbh in Prayagraj. More than 66 crore devotees gathered and received blessings in the huge bathing rituals in Sangam. No discrimination was done on the basis of caste or region.” Before the procession, Adityanath was seen sitting on the ground with the sadhus to celebrate Holi. He also showered flowers on the people involved in the procession.

On the holy Mahaparva of Holi, Gorakshpeethadheeshwar and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath started celebrating Holi by worshiping Holika Bhasma on Friday morning. He enjoyed the Phag songs in the Gorakhnath temple and offered the cow dynasty with Bhasma, Gulal. The Chief Minister also fed the ducks near Bhima Sarovar and the peacock near the temple’s cowshed. According to a statement, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath started the Holikotsav on Friday morning with the worship of Holika Bhasma as Gorakshpeethadhishwar Holika Bhasma in the Gorakhnath temple complex.
