The Enforcement Directorate on Tuesday raided against US billionaire George Soros -backed firm Open Society Foundation in Bengaluru, Karnataka. According to the investigating agency officials, the raid was associated with violation of the Foreign Exchange Management Act. He said that the matter is related to the OSF’s alleged Foreign Investment (FDI) and the use of these funds by some beneficiaries by allegedly violating the FEMA guidelines. No comments have been received from the OSF on the ED’s action.
