Goswami, who is a member of the West Bengal Public Health cum Administrative Service and currently posted as Deputy CMOH-II in Purba Bardhaman in South West Bengal, has been appointed to act until further orders as Superintendent of Darjeeling TB Hospital in the northern part of the state with immediate effect.
The West Bengal government on Thursday issued a transfer notice to Dr. Suvarna Goswami, who was leading the movement seeking justice for an on-duty female doctor who was a victim of rape and murder in the hospital in August last year. Goswami, who is a member of the West Bengal Public Health cum Administrative Service and currently posted as Deputy CMOH-II in Purba Bardhaman in South West Bengal, has been appointed to act until further orders as Superintendent of Darjeeling TB Hospital in the northern part of the state with immediate effect.
It states that Dr. Sunetra Mazumdar, Deputy CMOH-IV, former Bardhaman, will take charge of Deputy CMOH-II in addition to their general duties till further orders. 31 -year -old postgraduate trainee R.G.
