Russia confirmed on Thursday that President Vladimir Putin will soon visit India after Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s invitation during his visit to Moscow last year. This will be Putin’s first visit to Putin, who had a close relationship with PM Modi since war with Ukraine in 2022. Russian External Affairs Minister Sergei Lavarov said that preparations are going on for Putin’s visit to India, although he did not give any special date. Lavarov said that President Vladimir Putin has accepted the invitation to meet the head of the Indian government.
