Focus on seat sharing soon, lessons from previous mistakes … Kharge-Tejaswi meeting stressed on these issues

Senior Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav met Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge on Tuesday and the Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi before the meeting of the Grand Alliance constituents in Bihar on Thursday. According to sources, after the meeting, the message was clarified that do not repeat the mistakes made by the coalition in the last assembly elections and ensure that the seat sharing is based on ground realities.

Sources said that Yadav is keen to start the seat sharing at the earliest and finalize the arrangements before the assembly elections to be held at the end of the year. Leader of Opposition of Bihar Legislative Assembly does not want the conversation and selection of the candidate hang till the last time. Whereas Congress sources said that both sides believe that seat sharing should be on the basis of ground reality. Yadav’s emphasis is interesting because RJD believes that giving 70 seats to Congress in 2020 was a mistake.
The Congress won only 19 of the 70 seats in which the Congress contested five years ago, which is the worst strike rate among the Grand Alliance constituents. RJD won half the seats of its candidates (75 out of 144), and CPI (ML) Liberation won 12 seats out of 19 seats. In the last year’s Lok Sabha elections, RJD got only four seats, while the Congress managed to win three seats and CPI (ML) Liberation.
After a meeting with the top leadership of the Congress to discuss the preparations for the upcoming Bihar assembly elections, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav said on Tuesday that the opposition alliance is united and is fully prepared to take Bihar forward. Talking to the media, Yadav said that another meeting with coalition partners will be held in Patna on 17 April. He said that the NDA is the poorest state even after 20 years of the government in Bihar, where per capita income and farmers have the lowest, and migration is the highest. We want to contest elections based on issues. It is our duty to highlight the deficiencies of the government.

BJP leader Syed Shahnawaz Hussain said that Tejashwi Yadav and Mallikarjun Kharge, no matter how much meetings, the result will be zero … The people of Bihar have decided to win the NDA alliance. NDA will contest and win under the leadership of Nitish Kumar. Bihar minister Sanjay Saraogi said that he should do anything, nothing will happen. The NDA will win again under the leadership of Nitish Kumar. He (Tejashwi Yadav) must have gone to touch his feet, but nothing will be achieved by it. Common people are with the government of NDA, Prime Minister Modi and Nitish Kumar with the government. There is out of development in Bihar … NDA is united, they are divided.
