The Wisden magazine, called the Bible of Cricket, has declared two Indian cricketers as the world’s best cricketer of 2024. Both of them are cricketers Jaspreet Bumrah and Smriti Mandhana. Both of them have chosen the world’s cricketer of the year in the men’s and female category. The 2025 points of Wisden Cricketers Almacak were published on Tuesday.
Jasprit Bumrah, one of the world’s most dangerous fast bowlers in 2024, became the first Test bowler to take 200 wickets with less than 20 average. Last year, he took 71 wickets in the Test match.
Jasprit Bumrah Test, ODI and T20 are the leading bowlers of India in all three formats. Last year, he played a key role in making India the champion of the T20 World Cup. This speed star took 15 wickets in 8 matches of the World Cup.
Talking about Smriti Mandhana, she had raised a lot of runs in last year i.e. 2024. He scored a total of 1659 runs in all three formats of international cricket last year. In international cricket, no woman has scored so many runs in any one calendar year so far.
Mandhana scored 4 centuries in ODIs in 2024 and this is also a record. Mandhana also played an important role in getting the first Woman Premier League title to RCB last year.
The magazine has declared West Indies explosive batsman Nicholas Puran as the best T20 player of 2024.
