On the other hand there was news that India’s import of arms from Russia was 72 % between 2000 and 2019. That is, India used to buy 72 percent of the total purchased weapons from Russia. But this figure has come down between 2020 and 2024 to 36 %. Talking about the current time, 64 percent of India’s arms imports are consisting of indigenous and western countries. Another main reason behind the decrease in import of weapons from Russia is the decrease in the spleen chain due to the war of Russia and Ukraine. Apart from this, India’s national interest policy earlier. Despite all the good relationships, always take decisions only by looking at India’s interest.
