Union Home Minister Amit Shah paid floral tributes on the bodies of 26 people killed in a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir today and assured the survivors in the attack that the culprits of this brutal act would be brought into the dock of justice.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, who went on an important visit to America, is also returning to the country as the Prime Minister has called a meeting of CCS i.e. Cabinet Committee on Security in which a big decision is expected to be taken. Let us tell you that apart from the Prime Minister, the CCS consists of Home Minister, Defense Minister, Finance Minister, Foreign Minister, Chief of the three armies and NSA. It is being told that the Home Minister is also returning to Delhi after reviewing the security situation in Kashmir. The CCS meeting is expected to be held this evening. Earlier, Prime Minister Modi held a meeting with National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval and Foreign Minister S Jaishankar at the airport on returning from Saudi Arabia this morning and reviewed the situation. Officials said that Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri was also present in this meeting. As soon as the Prime Minister arrived, the authorities informed him about the terrorist attack and security situation. Let us tell you that the Prime Minister has said that those who are involved in the attack will not be spared.

Shah laid a wreath on the coffins of those killed in the terrorist attack in the police control room. Officials said that Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah also paid tribute to the dead. The Home Minister later spoke to the families of those killed and the survivors in the attack. Officials said that Shah assured him that the security forces would leave no stone unturned to punish the culprits of this fatal attack. Let us tell you that within a few hours of the Shah’s attack, he reached Srinagar on Tuesday night and the Director General of Police (DGP) Nalin Prabhat informed him about the situation. The Home Minister also presided over a security review meeting, in which the Lieutenant Governor also attended. Let us tell you that the Prime Minister has also called a meeting of CCS i.e. Cabinet Committee on Security in which an important decision will be taken. To attend this meeting, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is also returning to the country after visiting her America.
