Bihar Politics: RCP Singh joined hands with Prashant Kishore, will there be a big upset in Bihar politics?

There has been a big change in Bihar’s politics. RCP Singh, who was close to Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, joined Prashant Kishore’s Jan Suraj Party on Sunday. He also merged his party ‘AAP’ Awaaz ‘in Jan Suraj Party. After this, RCP Singh and Prashant Kishore targeted several big leaders of JDU and attacked fiercely. This development can bring a big change in state politics before the Bihar assembly elections.

Prashant Kishore thanked RCP Singh and said that he is associated with Jan Suraj to bring changes in the new system. RCP Singh’s administrative and political experience will be useful in giving Bihar a new option.
Jan Suraj chief said, ‘The grand alliance case made in 2025 has become a case study. The Grand Alliance stopped the victory chariot of PM Modi and BJP in Bihar. BJP’s new system of stopping the Vijay Rath was made due to Prashant Kishore and RCP Singh. He said that activists struggling with RCP Singh have also joined Jan Suraj. Prashant Kishore, citing the statement of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, said that Jan Suraj will not compromise on crime, corruption and communalism.
He said, ‘Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is no longer capable of making physical and mental decisions. JDU has become a party of contractors. Jan Suraj will keep the ideas of socialism and Lohia alive. According to Gandhi’s thinking, all classes will be carried forward. Prashant Kishore called for JDU to leave JDU and join Jan Suraj.

What did Singh say?
RCP Singh also addressed the press conference. He said, ‘India developed in 2047 but Bihar is not discussed. We have also worked in NDA and India. We have worked for them. Now for the first time you are building a house for themselves. Bihar is a home for us. RCP Singh said that PM Modi discusses India developed in 2047 but does not do Bihar.

Know about RCP Singh
RCP Singh, who belongs to Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s hometown Nalanda, was the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of Uttar Pradesh cadre and he first came in contact with Kumar in 1999 on central deputation. At that time, the head of Janata Dal (United) Kumar was the Railway Minister. After assuming power in Bihar in 2005, Kumar, impressed by Singh’s administrative skills, persuaded him to come to Bihar as his principal secretary. Singh joined Kumar’s JD (U) in 2010 with voluntary retirement. He was then elected a Rajya Sabha member twice in a row.
Later, he was also appointed the National President of JD (U). However, Kumar did not like Singh’s joining the Union Cabinet in 2021. Singh resigned from the post of National President of JD (U) and a year later, he was not again made a Rajya Sabha member. Later, Singh JD (U) left the Bharatiya Janata Party in 2023. Then in November 2024 he formed his own party.
