After performing a flop in IPL 2025, Lucknow Super Janent captain Rishabh Pant finally swallowed the century in the last league stage match. On the evening of Tuesday, May 27, Pant not only scored runs while batting at number-3 against RCB but also scored a century. LSG also scored 227 runs on the basis of his century. But even after scoring a century, Pant was disappointed. RCB turned his century on his century and took the match with 6 wickets. After this, BCCI also gave a big blow to Pant by fining a fine of 30 lakhs.
Rishabh Pant’s team was found guilty of slow over rate against Lucknow Super Giants RCB, due to which Pant was fined. Lucknow pays this sentence in this season. The team has also been fined along with Pant.
As per the press release of the IPL, LSG captain Pant has been fined as his team maintained a slow over-rate during the match number 70 of IPL 2025 against RCB at Ekana Stadium on Tuesday.
Since this was the third offense of his team under the IPL code of conduct related to minimum over-rate crimes, Pant was fined Rs 30 lakh.
The rest of the members of the playing XI, including the Impact Player, were personally fined either 50 per cent of their respective match fees of Rs 12 lakh.
