Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday paid tribute to Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, a symbol of Hindutva, on his birth anniversary. Paying tribute to Veer Savarkar on the occasion of Jayanti, PM Modi said that the grateful nation can never forget his indomitable courage and struggle. He has also called Savarkar a “true son of Mother India”.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah also paid tribute to Veer Savarkar on the occasion of his birth anniversary. In his X post, Amit Shah believed that Veer Savarkar dedicated his entire life to “free from the curse of untouchability and to bind it into a strong formula of unity”.
Swatantri Savarkar, who has crossed the culmination of courage and restraint for the freedom of the motherland, made an unforgettable contribution in making the national interest an all -India consciousness. Savarkar, who made the freedom struggle of 1857 historic with his writing, could not even get the tough torture of the British. The ‘X’ post states, “We pay their enthusiasm on the birth anniversary of Veer Savarkar on the birth anniversary, who devoted his entire life to free Indian society from the curse of untouchability and to tie it into a strong formula of unity.”
