Car collided with a house in Nashik, killing six people; One injured

In Nashik district of Maharashtra, a car collided with a roadside house, killing six people, including five members of the same family, and another was seriously injured. The police gave this information on Thursday.

Police said that two minors were also among the people who lost their lives in this accident at Kolhapur Phata, Kalwan taluka at around 10 pm on Wednesday night. A police official said, “A family in Nampur in Satana was returning home after attending a relative’s wedding ceremony in Nashik. At the same time, the driver of the car lost control of the vehicle, causing the car to hit a bungalow on Nashik-Kalwan Road.

He said that five passengers, including four people from the same family, died on the spot, while one of his relatives died in the hospital. Those who died on the spot in the accident were identified as Shaila Vasant Bhadan (62), their daughter Madhavi Metkar (32) and Natin Triveni Metkar (4), their relative Sarla Bhalchandra Bhadan (50), car driver Khalik Mahmud Pathan (50).

Metkar, who was seriously injured in the accident, died after being hospitalized and his relative Bhalchandra Bhadan (52) was also seriously injured. A case was registered at Kalwan police station and the case is being investigated.
