Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reached Cyprus, where President Nicos Christodolidase welcomed him at the airport. PM Modi is on a visit to three countries, during which he will attend the G7 Summit in Canada on 16-17 June and will also visit Croatia.
Let me tell you, this is the Prime Minister’s first foreign trip since India started Operation Sindoor by targeting the terrorist structure in Pakistan and Pakistan -occupied Kashmir (POK).
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on a two -day Cyprus tour from 15 to 16 June. This is the first Cyprus visit of an Indian Prime Minister in the last two decades, which is an important milestone in the relationship between the two countries. In Cyprus, Prime Minister Modi will meet President Nicos Christodolidase and discuss deepening bilateral relations in major sectors such as trade, investment, security and technology.

In the second phase of his current tour, Prime Minister Modi will visit Canada to attend the G7 Summit at the invitation of Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney. According to the Ministry of External Affairs, Prime Minister Modi will clarify India’s position on major global challenges including energy security, technology cooperation and innovation.
