Tamil Nadu Governor Ravindra Narayan Ravi surprised thousands of people during the International Yoga Day celebrations held at Valammal Educational Institute in Madurai on Saturday morning. Participating with over 10,000 students, the 73 -year -old Governor not only set an example during the yoga session, but also performed a wonderful display that stained the lines between age and puberty.

Wearing a tracksuit and vest, away from traditional formal dress, the governor adopted the day’s spirit with energy, which ruled his age. Taking advantage of the Indian Police Service (IPS) training background, he did each yoga posture with accuracy and balance. The most important moment of the session came when he completed 51 push-ups continuously without any effort after the yoga session, filled with enthusiasm in the audience.

Before the session, Governor Ravi addressed the attendees and inspiring inspiration at the overall value of yoga. He said, “Yoga is not just a physical activity – it is the path of self -awareness, mental clarity, emotional balance and spiritual development. It is a precious gift of India to the world.” He recalled how the United Nations declared 21 June as International Yoga Day after India’s proposal in 2015 and said that the date matches the summer solstice, dedicated to the Sun – which is the energy source of the Earth.

The program held in Madurai was part of the comprehensive yoga festival held across Tamil Nadu. Union Minister L. in Chennai Murugan attended the yoga session at the National Siddha Sansthan, while in Gudiyamat, former Telangana Governor Dr. Tamilisai Sundararajan and BJP leader-actress Namita participated in public yoga programs. 500 armed forces personnel also performed yoga together on the coast near INS Adyar, which exposed widespread participation in the annual festival.
