A shocking incident has come to light from Mumbai. The 28 -year -old woman allegedly suffered sexual harassment while traveling at Uber cab here. The incident took place on Thursday, whose information was shared by the police on Saturday. Police said the incident with the female pilot took place around 11.15 pm when she was returning to her home in Ghatkopar from South Mumbai. Police said a case has been registered against the cab driver and two others.
According to the police, the victim’s husband is an officer in the Navy and has not yet received a government house, so he lives in the Navy’s residential premises, while the woman lives in Ghatkopar. According to news agency PTI, the incident occurred when the husband booked Uber cab for the woman after a dinner at a restaurant in South Mumbai on Thursday.

In her complaint, the woman told the police that after a normal journey of about 25 minutes, the driver suddenly took another route and made two other men in the cab. The woman said that one of them, who was sitting on the back seat right next to her, touched her improperly. When the woman shouted at her, the person started threatening her, but the shocking thing was that the cab driver did not care to intervene.
The complainant told the police that after some distance ahead, the accused persons noticed that the police was investigating on the highway. On seeing this, both the male passengers immediately got down from the cab and escaped from the spot. Eventually, the driver left the woman at her house. When the woman asked the driver why she made two strangers into the cab, she did not give any clarification.

The next morning, the woman told her husband the whole incident, soon after which the couple lodged a complaint at the Ghatkopar police station. A case has been registered against the three accused under Section 75 (1) (sexual harassment), 351 (2) (criminal intimidation) and 3 (5) (normal intent) of the three accused, and the investigation of the case is going on.
